Revenues of Great Stone industrial park companies up 3.2 times in 2020

MINSK, 16 February (BelTA) – The revenues of resident companies of the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone totaled Br188.9 million in 2020, up 3.2 times year-on-year, BelTA informs citing the National Statistical Committee.
The revenues from selling products, works, services outside Belarus amounted to Br63.6 million (an increase of 8 times), which accounted for 33.7% of the total revenues.
By the end of the reporting period the number of resident companies rose by eight to reach 68. The average number of employees is 1,115 (617 a year earlier).
Foreign direct investments on a net basis (excluding debt to a direct investor for goods, works, services) amounted to $44.3 million, down by 61.4%. Fixed capital investments equaled Br104.1 million, up by 15.4%.
The output of industrial products, works, services in actual prices expanded 4.4 times to reach Br138.8 million.
The China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone is a special economic zone with a special legal regime. It is located 25km away from Minsk. The industrial park is home to 68 resident companies from 14 countries. The park's priority development areas include mechanical engineering, electronics and telecommunications, biotechnologies, pharmaceutics, new materials, logistics, digital commerce, big data storage and processing.
