MINSK (27 October) - Introduction of some of the technical regulations in Belarus has been postponed to a later date, according to resolution No.1552 of the Council of Ministers of 22 October 2010, BelTA learnt from the Council of Ministers Office.

MINSK, 27 October (BelTA) – The CIS observation mission which monitors the presidential election campaign in Belarus will open its offices in Gomel, Grodno and Mogilev Oblasts on October 27, BelTA learnt from the CIS Executive Committee press service.

GOMEL, 26 October (BelTA) - A new international technical assistance project “Development of International Chernobyl Research and Information Network” (ICRIN) was presented in the town of Vetka, Gomel Oblast, on October 26. Partners are expected to allocate roughly $330,000 to finance the project, BelTA learned from Ivan Zatsepin, project coordinator, representative of the UNDP Office in Belarus.

MINSK, 26 October (BelTA) – The state will spare no expense on education and healthcare, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said in a session on the state and prospects of the development of cancer care facilities in Belarus on 26 October.

MINSK, 25 October (BelTA) – Labor and social pensions in Belarus will be increased on 1 November 2010. Belarusian head of state Alexander Lukashenko has signed the relevant decree, BelTA learnt from the presidential press service.
According to the decree, labor pensions will rise 10% on average.
The document also spells out monthly additional payment (Br40,000) to the social pensions of disabled children under 18, people with disabilities and children who lost their breadwinner....

GOMEL, 19 October (BelTA) - Belarusian-Venezuelan joint venture Petrolera BeloVenesolana is set to start oil extraction at the two new oilfields located near the Maracaibo lake in the west of Venezuela, BelTA learnt from the Belorusneft press service.
