GOMEL, 4 December (BelTA) – A delegation of the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Refugees headed by its representative in Belarus Sholeh Safavi will discuss cooperation in promoting refugees’ integration in Gomel on 4 December, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee.
The international delegation is set to meet with the authorities of the Gomel oblast. The guests will visit the temporary accommodation center for refugees and get acquainted with the process of psychological and social adaptation of refugees of the Gomel City Social Service Centre.
The UN representatives will visit the Zolotoi Shar cultural and sports centre established by Integratsiya-A local fund for support of displaced people and meet with representatives of the refugees’ community.
