Gomel Museum of Military Glory tells about Scottish military history

The Museum of Military Glory of Gomel features the exposition dedicated to the military history of Scotland. The exposition is presented by the Gordon Highlanders Museum of Aberdeen, BelTA learnt in the foreign and economic ties department of the Gomel City Executive Committee. Scottish Aberdeen and Belarusian Gomel have partnership relations. The exchange of museum expositions is one of the new avenues of the cooperation between the two cities. The main goal of the project is to open the unknown pages of the military history for residents of both the cities, tell the youth about the military past. The exhibits presented by the Gordon Highlanders Museum tell about the 200-year military history of the country and region. The regiment of Gordon Highlander took part in various wars including World War II. The regiment helped the allies to liberate the territories occupied by the Nazi troops. The exhibition features photos, documents, awards and military outfits. The exhibition will open within a month.
