Belarusian Steel Works to launch production of seamless pipes with light sides

Belarusian Steel Works intends to produce seamless pipes with light sides, BelTA learnt in the company. The company will launch the production of 76.1, 88.9, 108 and 114.3 mm diameter pipes with light sides – 4.5 – 5 mm. In October Belarusian Steel Works intend to produce about 21 thousand tonnes of pipes. Founded in 1984, Belarusian Steel Works is an export-oriented company delivering its products to more than 50 countries. Exports account for 85% of the output. BMZ manufactures cast sections, rolled sections, profiled iron, reinforcing bars, metal cord and other kinds of wire. In July, Belarusian Steel Works started the production of seamless hot-rolled pipes. In 2006-2007, Belarusian Steel Works was recognized best company in terms of quality of products and most efficient steel plant in the CIS.
