MINSK, 23 October (BelTA) - Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) and Svetlogorsk Khimvolokno signed a loan contract in Minsk on 23 October.
JBIC will allocate Khimvolokno JPY3bn (?24 million) under the investment project on upgrading the polyether textile threads production to increase its capacity to 38,500 tons a year. This is one of the biggest projects on the Khimvolokno development program designed to run for 2006-2011.

GOMEL, 16 October (BelTA) – Specialists of the Belarusian oil company Belorusneft have started seismic exploration of the Band-e-Karkheh field in southern Iran, the Belorusneft press service told BelTA.
The seismic exploration is carried out using Belarusian equipment. It started in line with the contract signed by Belorusneft and the private Iranian oil company Petropars Institute (PPI) in April 2009.

GOMEL, 16 October (BelTA) – The manufacturing corporation Gomselmash is setting up a joint production facility in Ukraine.
