Gomel to host exhibition of modern Latvian art

GOMEL, 17 August (BelTA) – The Modern Latvian Art exhibition will open at the Gomel palace and park complex on 18 August, BelTA has learned. The exhibition will feature works of artist Ingrida Irbe and photographer Juris Schulz. Their works reflect the diversity and beauty of this small Baltic country. Ingrida Irbe graduated from Latvian Academy of Arts, studied in Humboldt University if California, received PhD in the University of Latvia. Her personal exhibitions are displayed in Riga, San Francisco and Bremen. Ingrida Irbe has a number of awards. Gomel residents got acquainted with Juris Schultz during the Museum Night 2009.
