Police cracks over 100 cases in bordering areas of Belarus, Russia, Ukraine

Last year Belarusian, Russia, and Ukraine police jointly investigated over 100 crimes in the bordering regions. Gomel region police chief Valeriy Yeremkin told BelTA, the joint efforts are mainly concentrated on fighting the organised crime, criminal investigation and automobile traffic control. Successful policing in the bordering regions is aided by sharing the experience between police departments of the three countries. Due to the practice prospects of transboundary police cooperation were discussed during a solemn sitting dedicated to the Belarusian Police Day in Gomel. The event was attended by region officials, city officials, heads of law enforcement bodies of Bryansk, Kiev, Zhitomir, Rovno, Chernigov regions as well as church representatives. During the celebration best officers of Gomel region police department were awarded with honorary certificates for faithful service, skilful actions and initiative during police actions.
