Gomeltransneft Druzhba oil transporting enterprise intends to construct four new oil storage tanks with the storage capacity of 50 thousand cubic meters each, BelTA learnt from the enterprise.
The incremental renewal of the oil storage facilities is one of the priority tasks of the company. At present, in-line production and control station Mozyr is installing two oil storage tanks with the capacity of 50 thousand cubic meters. They will have double cases and a floating roof which will help increase the oil storage safety. The other two tanks are being designed at the moment. The designing work is carried out by the Kiev-based Oil Transportation Institute.
Gomeltransneft Druzhba has already laid the foundation for the two new oil storage tanks. The tender for the construction of the metal framework has been carried out. The company is to announce an international tender for the purchase of the metal very soon. The construction of the metal framework for the storage tanks is to be launched in 2008; the other two tanks are to have been constructed by 2011.
