On its 80t anniversary the Gomel oblast radio plans to boost broadcasting. So far, the radio has been broadcasting for more than 24 hours a day in two frequency ranges, BelTA was informed by the radio’s editor-in-chief Sergei Krasnoborod.
The Gomel oblast radio was established on March 14, 1926. Since then the radio has turned into a modern hi-tech foundation. Due to the fruitful work of its collective the Gomel radio has acquired a new sound. On august 14, 2001 the radio started broadcasting in FM frequency range, hence it became available in neighboring regions of Russia and Ukraine too.
Today like 80 years ago the radio continues to highlight urgent issues of people’s everyday life and promote national culture, Sergei Kradnoborod emphasized.
