Andrei Kravchenko from Gomel won a heptathlon silver at the World Indoor championships held in Valencia on March 7-9.
He scored a total of 6,234 points, which is a national record of Belarus.
Head coach of the Belarusian national team Anatoly Baduyev took note of the good results of Andrei Kravchenko who is expected to get into his best sports shape by the Olympic Games in Beijing.
As of today Belarusian athletes have won 69 Olympic licenses.
